    Implementation of a new Shop-System

heine is a provider of the latest fashion and inspiring furnishing ideas with an e-commerce concept on various channels. A reliable and powerful shop system that can adapt to the constantly evolving requirements is essential for this purpose. After the existing Intershop store system was no longer supported by the provider, it was already at the start of the project in 2013 clear that a new basic software had to be introduced.
In addition to improved stability and performance, it was important to create a cloud-capable solution based on a Kubernetes infrastructure to enable further system migrations. An extensive website search and a notepad function additionally increase the customer experience.

    Expandable and cloud-enabled e-commerce solution

The choice of infrastructure quickly and clearly turned to IBM's Commerce solution, which in the course of the project has already been migrated from the IBM WebSphere Commerce v7 version to the HCL Commerce v9 version. This solution offers many possibilities to extend the system with additional components. For example, in order to optimize the customer experience, an extensive website search function, a connection to various price search engines, and a convenient notepad function have already been introduced.

  • Benefit

    High performance, optimal customer benefit

The new shop system is reliable, high-performing and, thanks to the Kubernetes infrastructure, capable of maximum expansion. With this solution, heine is ideally equipped to meet the constantly changing demands on the store and to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. Due to the new infrastructure, further systems can be migrated without any problems, and further country roll-outs are also possible.
